Medallion Press To Debut YA-YA Line [News]

Medallion Press has announced the opening of its Ya-Ya line of books.  Ya-Ya stands for "Young Adults writing for Young Adults" and will be aimed at teens aged 13-18, authored by teens in the same age group.  They plan to release both print and ebooks over a variety of fiction genres.

They are accepting submissions, and you can find out more about that process by visiting Medallion online.

Awesome. I love it when teens write for teens. (And adults.) Thanks for the info.

It only makes sense, right? Who knows better what teens like and want than teens? And I know there's enormous talent out there in that age group. I want to give you guys a voice. Bring it on! Helen A Rosburg

@Mrs. DeRaps - we do too!

@helen - It totally makes sense! Adult authors too often patronize teens and I know several that get frustrated with it. Heck, we get frustrated with it. We're excited to see a publisher that recognizes and desires to do something with that talent pool!

I met a lot of the Medallion Press team at Book Expo 2009 and I've maintained a decent relationship with them since then. Great group of people.
