Bargains at Barnes & Noble [Saturday Steals]

This week I shopped somewhere else online for my books.  Wait for it... Barnes & Noble.  They have an online Bargain Books section too you know.  I rarely frequent it though because I am not a BN member.  It's only $25 a year and then you get unlimited free expedited shipping, but I haven't been able to bring myself to drop the 25 bucks when I'm already a member of Amazon Prime.  Especially when orders over $25 are shipped free anyway.  I ordered $25 worth of books, but by the time they shipped my order, they only had these three of the YA I ordered left in stock.  Luckily, I was given the free shipping anyway, so yay!  Total steals.  I did have to pay sales tax, so just know that it was an extra buck and a penny.  Oh how I loathe sales tax!

Nobody's Prize by Esther Friesner  $3.39  Regularly $16.99  81% off
(I do have a copy of the first book, Nobody's Princess)
In this rousing sequel to Nobody’s Princess, young Helen of Sparta is not about to be left behind when her older brothers head off to join the quest for the Golden Fleece. Accompanied by her friend Milo, and disguised as a boy herself, Helen sets out to join the crew of heroes aboard the massive ship known as The Argo.

Helen quickly faces all sorts of danger. There are battles to be fought, as well as an encounter with a terrifying murderous princess. With her beauty blossoming, Helen’s journey takes her beyond the mythology of the Golden Fleece to Athens, where her very future as Queen of Sparta is threatened.
This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen $1.99  Regularly $8.99  78% off
(I'm gonna give Dessen another try)
When it comes to relationships, Remy doesn’t mess around. After all, she’s learned all there is to know from her mother, who’s currently working on husband number five. But there’s something about Dexter that seems to defy all of Remy’s rules. He certainly doesn’t seem like Mr. Right. For some reason, however, Remy just can’t seem to shake him. Could it be that Remy’s starting to understand what those love songs are all about? From acclaimed author Sarah Dessen, this is a captivating novel about a tough-as-nails girl and the unexpectedly charming boy who’s determined to soften her up.
The Serious Kiss $1.99 Regularly £5.99  which is $9.14 today  79% off
(this is an edition only available in the UK, except for well, BN, I guess)
Libby's father is a drunk, her mum wouldn't know the meaning of home cooking if it landed in her lap and her brother's in trouble with the police - but none of this matters, as Zack is interested in her, not her home-life. But just as things are working out on the boy front, Libby's family lose their home, and have to move in with their gran. Libby has to start a new school, give up her plans for Zack, and leave her best friend Nadine behind. But slowly she discovers there really IS a silver lining to every grey cloud - and there's plenty to fall in love with in her new home: her gran's cooking, the school outsider who stands up to the bullies, and the deadbeat boy who wants to show her the beauty of the desert...

I love B&N bargain books. Also, I haven't got around to becoming a B&N member because I usually order $25 worth, and the closest store is 45 minutes away, so I usually order online. I recently read This Lullaby (my first Dessen book) and I really enjoyed it. I could relate to the character and the fact that it takes place in MI. Hope you enjoy it as well.
