Poetry Speaks: Who I Am [Book Inspection] [Poetry] [Giveaway]

The Gist of It: This collection of poetry from both unheard of authors and old stand-bys such as Poe, Angelou, Shelley, etc., are not complex, daunting poems. They're short, sweet, and delve into matters of being, soul searching, existence, and a plethora of other inspiring matters. I've honestly not seen a collection of poems that ever grabbed me like this one did. While in reviewing mode, I read through it in a matter of about an hour. I was engrossed. I felt like I had reconnected with an old friend and her name was Poetry. We read so many novels, that I think poetry too often gets shoved on a back burner. This is a collection that is both meaningful and inspiring for both young and old, and it gets two thumbs up from me. One of the really cool parts of this edition is that there is a CD included with authors reading their own poems. Like poetry? Even a little bit? If so, you'll like this one. Feeling sad? lonely? happy? overwhelmed with joy? There's a poem for you in this volume.  Have a reluctant reader?  Try this out.
