Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater [Audiobook Inspection] (@mstiefvater)

Size: 153MB ( Download)
Length: 10 hours, 43 minutes
Author: Maggie Stiefvater
Narrator: David LeDoux, Jenna Lamia

Plot Sketch: After being attacked by wolves and being drug into the forest, Grace is saved by the wolf with the strange yellow eyes. Grace and her wolf continue to watch each other every winter, Grace from her house or back yard, and the wolf from the edge of the trees. They continue watching each other for several years until another kid is attacked by the wolves and killed, throwing the people of the town into a panic and a desperate hunt to eradicate the wolves that Grace loves so much.

Plot Verdict: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Even though it wasn't my typical type of book, I still enjoy a good love story. Shiver is an emotional rollercoaster ranging from happy to sad to finding what you thought you could never have and possibly losing it forever. A lot of guys would probably not like the book, but I did.

Narration Verdict: There were two narrators. Jenna Lamia was fantastic. She did an amazing job of conveying the emotions of the story, the character, and she was easily understood. David LeDoux did an okay job. There were times when he wasn't able to express the emotion quite as well as Lamia did, but he was still easy to understand and read the part fairly well. I enjoyed the audiobook well enough that I wished that I had read the book, which is rare.

I have never listened to an audiobook! I really want to... but in the end I always just buy the actual book. I'm guessing that there were two narrators because Sam and Grace narrated alternate chapters? Or is it normal for there to be more than one?
