You’d like to know how to not look fat when reading a book in public--your head is down, your shoulders sometimes hunched... what should we vow not to do and what should we do to accessorize and make clothing choices to not accentuate the double chin that we're bound to get by looking down?

That is a problem… try to keep your shoulders back at all times. Reading is better done in the privacy of your own home so that you can relax and expose your double chin without thinking about it. You might want to consider wrapping a long cotton scarf around your neck. That can look very chic if you’re self-conscious about the neck.
