You're The Expert: Podcasts

Talk to me! This segment is all about you educating me on your take on a subject. Answer all of the questions, none of the questions, half of the questions... it's up to you. So tell me...

  • Do you listen to podcasts?
  • If yes, approximately how many?
  • What are your favorites?
  • Do you recommend any?
  • What site do you use to access your podcasts?
  • What device do you use to listen to them?

Go ahead and sock it to me about podcasts! I want your expertise!

I wind up listening to a few podcasts from NPR each week. One of my favorites is Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me - a sort of combination quiz show and current events discussion. It airs weekly and is usually good for a laugh or two (depending on your sense of humor, of course).

I listen to several podcasts, but not on a regular basis. That's what I love about it -- it doesn't have to be on a schedule! My favorites are PRI's "Selected Shorts" -- short stories read by actors; NPR's "Science Friday"; "A Way With Words," which is a wonderful show about language; "iPhone App Podcast"; and "Inside Mac Radio." I would recommend all of those. I listen to these either using iTunes or on my iPhone.

April... thanks for the tip. I'll check it out. I like to think my sense of humor can take pretty much anything.

McFitz... I'm definitely going to check out Selected Shorts and A Way With Words. Unfortunately, I'm not an Apple girl, yet. I think I could be persuaded in the future :o)
