Read-a-Thon: Mid-Event Survey

1. What are you reading right now? Pretty Face by Mary Hogan

2. How many books have you read so far? 1 whole. 3 partial.

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? Buckling down and reading any book without stopping. (new goal!) I might have to turn off of my phone.

4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day? yes I had to miss my brother's girlfriend's birthday dinner! But I bought her a super-awesome bday present to make up for it.

5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Yes! I keep getting phone calls from family that just want to chat. That's been difficult. I can't not answer and I can't just tell them I'll call them back either. And I've found some of the challenges took more time than I had anticipated. They were good breaks though. Oh, and the cats have behaved atrociously this afternoon.

6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? The good-will and the comments on my blog. Thanks everyone!!

7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? Not yet. I might in a few days though ;o)

8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year? I don't know yet. I know I'd love to be a cheerleader though.

9. Are you getting tired yet? Oh yeah. Between starting at 5am and still battling strep throat, I'm starting to feel it. Plus my meds make me wooooozy.

10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered? Nope, but tell me about yours pretty please!!

Good luck with the rest of the read-a-thon. Being a cheerleader is fun but there are SO MANY readers it's difficult getting to all of them!

I turned off my phone! My friends and family understand. ;) I'm sorry you've got strep; that can't be fun at all. :/ At least reading doesn't require talking, lol.

I am sorry that you are not feeling the best. Quit talking on the phone, that makes it worse! LOL

Ah, the family phone calls! Yeah, if you do this again next year, you'll have to tell them you're working! Keep it up -- you're doing great! (Read. Don't talk!)

Gee, I just discovered your blog through the Read-A-Thon and I love it! I love the layout and the title! I'm a newbie read-a-thoner but I think I'd like to be a cheerleader in the future too (I mean virtually, that is). Hahaha!
