Gifts For The Mom Who Hearts Books

*Contest Now Closed*
May 10th is Mother's Day, which is just around the corner. If you're going to get your mom something cool for Mother's Day, you'd better get to ordering! Some of the coolest things out there have some pretty long turn-around times on them, so you'll need to get your order on soon.

So if you know a mom that H.E.A.R.T.S. books, check out these really cool, really fun, really practical (ok, most are practical) gift ideas:

Bookwormz. I'm working on a product review of these right now, but in short, I heart them. The adjustable ones work well for all sizes of books and they don't slip! Plus, she's having a Mother's Day sale. Buy two and get free shipping anywhere in the world!

Reading Comfort's Book Buddy. I don't have one yet, but oh how I pine for one!!

Personalize a Book at Penguin. With a variety of titles such as The Wonderful World of Oz, Peter Pan, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, you're sure to find one that suits your mom. The cool part is that you get to put your feelings into writing. How cool!

I Hate Perfume's In The Library. I see this for the mom who has everything, but is still no-frills. It's a little pricey, but still fun if you have the cash to spare.

Terbearco's personalized Library Stamp. With a three-week turn-around time, you may not get this before Mother's Day, but it is so fun and affordable I had to share it with you. You can always show her what you bought her even if it doesn't get to you on time.

Bookplates for the hippie mom, the new mom, the outdoorsy mom, the bird-lover mom, the modern mom, the fantasy-loving mom, the antique-loving mom, and the no-frills mom. With so many options, and so many varieties, you're sure to find one that'll suit your mom.

Now that you've read through all of my suggestions, I'm working with Kate over at Katie Blair Designs to give away a set of 10 book plates. They're the ones featured under no-frills mom, but I think they're great because they're classic and will make a great accompaniment to any book. Be sure to check-out Katie's other products too because even if your mom doesn't like books, she might like her notecards, notebooks, or recipe cards!

To enter, leave a comment tell us why your mom is so great! Entry deadline is April 30th, 2009. Open worldwide. One winner will be chosen at random on May 1, 2009.

Those gift ideas are just awesome!

My mum is great because she's like my best friend. We chat and have a laugh, go shopping, go to the cinema, theatre, or out for a meal, just like I would with other friends. Yet she is still Mum, and takes on all that means when I'm ill, upset, or want a hug just because. And finally, she's great because she loves me. Can't get any greater than that, really!

My Mom is great, because even though she passed away 8 years ago, she's still with me in spirit. She taught me things that come back and guide me, time after time. One of those things was to raise my kids so other people could love them too. And I did, and they do.

Sounds like 2 awesome moms in your family!

Thanks - I think I was lucky and got awesome kids... But then, Mom helped
raise them. I've been fortunate all the way around.

My mom is great because she has always encouraged me to be myself and reach for my dreams. When no one else thought teaching was a noble career, she was always there saying, "do want makes you happy." She is my rock, my friend, my mother!

We heart teachers too! 2nd most noble profession behind being a Mother if you ask me! Yay Shel's mom!

I think my mom is so great because she's accomplished everything she set out to in her life. Raising a kid, getting her masters and publishing not one, but 7 books! :D I heart my mom. :)

Why is my mom so great? Because she sacrificed a lot of things in her life as well as happiness just to raise me and my siblings in a comfortable and decent way. She thinks first about us before herself.

You're super lucky to have a mom like that!

My mom is wonderful in all ways. She is understanding, she is a "cool" mom, my friends like her, and she is overall nice. She also tells things as they are! Once there was a contest to tell one of your most embarrassing parent moments, but I couldn't come up with any good ways that she has really embarrassed me! Those are just a few of the ways my Mom is GREAT!
