Gearing Up For The Read-a-Thon

I'm participating in Dewey's Read-a-Thon that starts tomorrow. I'm reading for Big City Mountaineers. Tomorrow's posts will be all things Read-A-Thon. I'll be giving you status updates and fun little pieces of what I'm reading. Have any other requests? Let me know.

I'm getting up at like sunrise to participate. That's 5am, so I need to wake up at 4:30 am so that I'll actually be awake. Which means if I'm going to make it the entire 24 hours, I'm going to need to go to bed early tonight, which means I need to wear myself out today, which isn't going to be hard because I'm still fighting Strep Throat.

Don't let this list make you think that I'm going to read them all. I'm not. There's no possible way. You see, the thing is, when I was reading on how to prepare for the Read-a-Thon, they say that we should have a lot of books to choose from so that we can read what we're in the mood for. I'll likely get 5-6 of these books read in the 24 hour period, so don't fret.

  1. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
  2. Single Wife by Nina Solomon
  3. The Elite by Jennifer Banash
  4. Fatal Distraction by Emmi Fredericks
  5. Off The Record by Jennifer O'Connell
  6. Those Girls by Sarah Lawrence
  7. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
  8. Revelation by Kate Brian
  9. Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
  10. 4 Blondes by Candace Bushnell
  11. The Upper Class by Hobson Brown, Taylor Materne, & Caroline Says
  12. Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith
  13. Nobody's Princess by Esther Friesner
  14. Privilege by Kate Brian
  15. Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
  16. Betrayed by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast
  17. Pretty Face by Mary Hogan
  18. The Agency by Ally O'Brien
  19. Swapping Lives by Jane Green
Right now I'm leaning toward starting with Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith, but I could change my mind you know.

Next up on my preparation list: Buy snacks!
